The ‘Dog Listening’ method (Amichien Bonding), uses a "language" the dog understands and so treats the root cause of behavioural problems; not just the symptoms. It is simple and gentle and yet the most effective form of behavioural work I have come across during my time working with dogs. When in place, you’ll notice how much more relaxed your dogs are, enabling you to enjoy a stress-free and happier life together.
The consultation (at your home) lasts as long as it takes, I don’t charge by the hour. However, the average time for my visit is from two to four hours. During the consultation, where we focus on your dog's behaviour, you will receive as much help as you need on a one-to-one basis. This is then followed by a life-time of support via the phone, or email, for as long as you use Amichien Bonding with your dog(s).
No. I will be teaching you a language which all of your dogs will understand. They may all be displaying different behavioural problems but the route cause is always the same. They will all respond to you when you mimic the canine language. If you decide to get another dog I will support you with that dog too.
During the consultation I will teach you, and your family, the tools required for you to help and understand your dogs. For your dogs to give up their behavioural habits, they need to believe their lives are safe in your hands. They need to trust that you are a capable leader who can protect and provide for them. Once they are convinced of your leadership qualities, their behavioural problems will gradually disappear.
Yes. I’ll be teaching you how to communicate with your dogs using their language. Regardless of their breed or age, your dogs already have their canine communication tools and will understand you when you start communicating to them that you are the pack leader and they can live a relaxed, care-free life.
No. Pack leaders are the healthiest, fittest, most intelligent and most experienced pack members who must locate and provide food and protect the rest of the pack. They are key to the pack’s survival and that is far too much responsibility for dogs in our man-made, domestic society.
Yes. It’s important to demonstrate to your frightened and traumatised dog that now it is living with you (it’s new pack), it will be protected, fed and looked after for the rest of its days, leaving your dog to live a stress-free, happy life.
Everyday for as long as your dogs are with you. Like us, dogs continue to communicate and learn everyday, therefore this method is not a quick fix and needs to be applied in your everyday lives. Dog Listening is the same as speaking French to a French person, or signing to someone who is hearing impaired. It is a language that the dogs understand and communicate on a daily basis.
